There is a letter to the editor in the Columbian this morning that deserves some clarification and further discussion. The letter is entitled, “Obey law and use a leash” and concerns leashing your dog:
While walking along the busy river walk by Interstate 5 Bridge, I saw three dogs being walked by their owners, and none were on leashes. [...]

Story is hitting all the area media outlets about a local elderly woman who was overwhelmed with keeping 42 cats in her home. According to The Columbian:
Animal protection officers on Tuesday seized about 42 cats — many suffering from medical problems and malnutrition — in a raid at the home of an elderly woman on Southeast 11th Street in east Vancouver.
