but Colin Powell’s endorsement, after Obama has gained an almost insurmountable lead (must not get complacent), means less than it would have three months or even three weeks ago.
And after his Step-n-Fetchit routine for the likes of Cheney, Rumsfeld and Bush, I’m not sure what gravitas or integrity or foreign policy/military fairy dust Powell has left to lend to Barack Obama. Maybe, in actuality, Powell is hoping Obama can give him back some of what he’s lost.
In any event, I’m sure for Powell this felt like a huge step, turning against his Commander in Chief and all, but for the rest of us in the Reality Based Community, it’s too little too late.
