Remember the Illegal War and Occupation of Iraq?

You can watch this video at the bottom of the home page of this blog but after watching it I decided it was so important that a post is necessary. The news media in this country has egregiously ignored and continues to ignore the ongoing disaster in Iraq. Iraq is MORE IMPORTANT than the housing crisis. Iraq is MORE IMPORTANT than the presidential election. Iraq is MORE IMPORTANT than the price of gasoline. Iraq is MORE IMPORTANT than the Midwest floods. Iraq is MORE IMPORTANT than…

And if you don’t think so, then you are paying too much attention to the news in this country.

I heard Rachel Maddow talking about this yesterday and was appalled. I guess it’s easy for some people to forget, but it’s on my mind every day.

Can you imagine if there was only 2 minutes of war reporting per network per week during WWII (radio) or Vietnam?

I am so freaking sick of hearing about Tiger Woods’ knee. He’s a millionaire – he’ll be fine even if he can’t work another day in his life! It’s the rest of us we need to worry about – particularly those of us serving overseas or waiting and hoping for friends and family to come home safe.

I guess war is only good for the war-profiteering side of GE if NBC keeps its viewers deaf and blind to what we’re actually doing over there.
