According to the Clark County Elections website:
In June, 2005, Clark County became a mail ballot county. All ballots for future elections will be mailed to voters at their residential address or to any mailing address that the voter has provided the Elections Office. There will no longer be polling places where a voter can go to receive a ballot, except for the County Elections Office located at 1408 Franklin Street (the Clark County Elections offices).
Can you commit to knocking on the doors of ten or twenty of your neighbors the week before the November 7th deadline? Can you tell them, “I’m calling on your to urge you to vote Democratic and mail in your ballot”?
According to many political commentators, turn-out numbers may be the single most important issue on election day, as the republican polling numbers show declining support across the country in both local and national campaigns.
This election season may very well determine the future of our nation. A continuation of a Republican majority in the federal congress could mean the end of our representative democracy, due to continued restrictions on personal liberties by our current congress combined with the increased power of the unitary executive granted to the current administration.
EVERY VOTE is needed to ensure that the United States changes course, on many fronts, including:
The Iraq Mis-Adventure
The jobless recovery
Insurance vs Healthcare crisis
Cost of living (mostly housing costs)
Please join me in ensuring that our fellow citizens mail or turn in their ballots and cast their votes this November 7th!
Progressively Yours,
Angie in WA State
