    Random Recitals

If you want total security, go to prison. There you're fed, clothed, given medical care and so on. The only thing lacking... is freedom.

Let’s Take the Tires on Their Mercedes-Benz

    Words are easy.

Go back 15 years and somehow decide that so and so should not have been paid this million or that million because it led to the mortgage collapse?  Who gets to decide who was paid too much and by how much?  Confiscate the overpaid Wall Street barons’ assets that are now parked in offshore accounts that are unreachable by U.S. laws?  Attempt to imprison the super rich CEO who hides his/her assets and ignores the subpeona, money judgment and all other attempts at collection because now he/she is living on his/her 200 foot yacht off the coast of Spain?

Oh, I have an idea.  Let’s take away their social security and medicare benefits.  Like they would even notice that one.  And there is not much of a market in used tires.

    Wealth has its privileges.

    And words are easy.

    Wall Street

Please give me your comments on how we would realistically do this.

    • I want Marcy to be my Representative in Congress !

Where’s our psychologist representative on this one –
      I haven’t heard a word.

The people of this country do not want a bailout but
Congress is doing it anyway. The $700 billion number
came out of thin air … what’s the rush??? It took
15 years to get to this place … seems like it would take
more than a week to fix it. Markets go up and down …
Congress has already bailed out AIG and the automakers
with little or no discussion. Automakers in Detroit just
got $25 billion without much publicity. They can’t compete
so taxpayers will now be subsidizing them. Where is all of this money coming from anyway? Bush said there wasn’t $7 billion for
children’s healthcare when he vetoed that legislation…

Eliminating any possibility of using the court system for abuses regarding the bailout flies in the face of the Constitution and therefore further erodes the system of checks and balances. Our founders would be horrified !
