While I disagree with Senator Pridemore that a bad bill with a couple of good provisions is better than no bill at all, Craig deserves praise for staking out a very clear position on health care reform. The Democrats have to pass legislation that will provide health care at a reasonable cost to both businesses and individuals. It needs to be effective now rather than later. The current bill fails on both counts. And unfortunately it will do little or nothing to motivate people to vote for Democrats going forward. And for that I am especially disappointed. Hope I am wrong.
Please support Craig Pridemore for Congress.

Craig should have just come out and said “no.” He talks the talk and walks the walk but sometimes you just have to disagree with your own party when the stakes are so high.

I so agree with you here. Congress and Obama are trying to please all the people (and special interests) all the time. And that will only result in pleasing none of the people all of the time.
My expectation is the Democrats suffer huge defeats in 2010 and 2012. The Republicans leave in the individual mandate but strip from the bill any cost containment (if there actually is any enforceable containment in the bill). And we end up back at square one only with 40 million people being forced to buy overpriced insurance.
I agree with Pridemore on this one. We must take that first step or we will be waiting years for the train to return. Looks like Baird has now made his decision for the bill. Its going to take some time to get things going, but it took us years to get into this mess and it will take awhile to get a good system up and running.
I think most people want to get on with it unless you are rabidly right or left and surround yourselves with like thinkers.
