FISA vote is last straw
I recently heard, then read, about Congressman Brian Baird’s rationale for voting for the new FISA bill. What a bunch of half-truths.
First, I am an independent. Baird has willingly changed his philosophy in recent years, supporting the “surge,” now supporting the elimination of my constitutional rights, giving communication companies a retroactive financial and legal break and giving the strangest rationale for why he has done so.
Baird has become a Sen. Joe Lieberman-style Democrat. I have voted for Baird every year since 1998. No more. I suggest everybody in the 3rd Congressional District look for alternatives to Baird, before they have no civil rights left.
Could not agree more with this sentiment but the author left out that there is an alternative actively running for Baird’s seat. Her name is Cheryl Crist. Here is her website. Check her out.
Great headline! Baird is quite the disappointment. Crist has a good chance.
