Taxi to the Dark Side movie showing

[ April 28, 2008; 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. ] The Peace & Justice team of MSUUF will be showing “Taxi to the Dark Side,” Monday, April 28, 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. It won an Academy Award this year for best documentary, and is about torture. It might contain images that people find disturbing.

BAGHDAD — U.S. authorities in Baghdad have received five severed fingers belonging to four Americans and an Austrian who were taken hostage more than a year ago in Iraq, officials here said today.

YouTube stops account of anti-torture activist

The video-sharing website YouTube has suspended the account of a prominent Egyptian anti-torture activist who posted videos of what he said was brutal behaviour by some Egyptian policemen, the activist said.
