the next time McCain brings up his P.O.W. experience (as he did to justify his ignorance of the number of houses his wife owns), would someone please ask him whether his detainment was any different from our imprisonment, interrogation and torture of hundreds of uncharged men, women and children at Guantanamo and black sites around the globe?
And if he says the U.S. does not torture, could you please question whether his treatment at the hands of the Vietnamese would be considered torture under BushCo’s standards (which McCain accepts)?
And while you’re at it, could you ask McCain if he thought that the Guantanamo detainees, who are coming up on 7 years of imprisonment (equal to his time in Vietnam), would come out of Guantanamo with the military experience ready to lead the most powerful nation on earth?
