Hello MoveOn Member,
Now is the time and this is the year. Since this is a political year it is a great time to go out and make our voices heard. At the event we had last week “The McCain Challenge” we discussed doing events like that at the Saturday Market. We would hand out flyers showing the similarities of Bush and McCain as I believe it is imperative to not allow a Bush Third Term. However, there are other issues in the campaign that we could tackle:
1. Should we take a stand on health care?
2. Should we take a stand on ending the occupation of Iraq?
3. The Economy – Fuel prices?
What issues are important to you? We need to discuss and plan for future events and this is the time and the place to have your voice heard. Please come and make your opinion known.
Sunday, June 8, 2008 we will be meeting to discuss what we would like to do for events in the future. We have the banquet room at Round Table Pizza located on Thurston Way reserved at 5:30 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there.
If you are unable to attend you can still participate, just send me an email and let me know what issues are important to you and I will bring them to the meeting. However, if I am the only one there, then I will pretend that I am “W” and I am the “Decider”. Please don’t give me that much power.
So, come have some pizza, or not, and let’s map out our future of grassroots activism.
