The in-person period to file a Declaration of Candidacy for elective public office will begin on Monday, June 2 and end on Friday, June 6, 2008. Elective positions subject to this new candidate filing period in 2008 include U.S. Representative, statewide offices, State Supreme Court, state legislative positions, two county commissioner positions, all nine Superior Court judge positions, Clark Public Utility District Commissioner for District No. 3 and 179 Republican and Democratic precinct committee officer positions. Anyone interested in filing for an open office should plan on visiting the Clark County Elections Department between 8:00 AM, Monday, June 2 and 5:00 PM, Friday, June 6. We are located at 1408 Franklin Street, Vancouver.
This year’s Primary will be held on August 19, the third Tuesday in August. The General election will be held on November 4, 2008.
