At least I hope it will be my last. I have never understood the fascination the media and the American people had for Hillary Clinton. And I use the past tense here intentionally. I always saw her more as a power monger than a power personality. She just never did it for me. So to see her self-destruct does not really surprise me.
Even so, Olbermann’s rant below about the recent RFK comment is over the top in my opinion. Although Hillary certainly should be criticized for her poor choice of words, I don’t believe her intent was to cause harm to Obama. She is under intense pressure to throw in the towel and people when they are under stress often do and say things that they regret later. In other words, stress causes boo boos. And could you imagine the fallout for Hillary if something dreadful did now happen to Obama? No one in their right mind would intentionally do something that could possibly result in extinguishing such an illustrious political career as hers has been.
And then there is her apology. She evidently didn’t get the fact that her remark was much more potentially harmful to Obama than the Kennedy family. She still needs to apologize directly to Obama for implanting a destructive implied message about him in the public arena.
Goodbye Hillary. Can’t say that I will miss you.
