Despite several PCO votes against the motion, the 17th Legislative District Democrats put their bylaw on hold that bars endorsing a candidate before the primary and bowed down to the Democratic State Party’s edict to nominate ONE candidate per race in the primary election.
Politics seems to be local only when it suits the powers that be. Washblog also has a post on this failure to abide by democratic principles appropriately entitled:
A bad taste in my mouth. . .
Hope no one is surprised. Given the way the party leaders have treated certain primary challengers in recent memory, this is just more of the same old same old.
