
I don’t know what wheeling and dealing was involved (with Richardson, there is definitely some quid pro quo), but I think Richardson would make a fabulous VP pick. He would bring not only some of the Hispanic vote along with him, but would give the ticket some real depth and legitimacy when talking about ending the war and working with other countries (not to mention alternative energy development).
I know Richardson has an ego even bigger than he is, but he can doubtless see the benefit of riding Obama’s coattails into the big chair himself in 8 years, particularly after the experience of having no real platform from which to launch his own presidential bid this year.
