There were at least twice as many voters there over the 2004 caucus and I actually saw a few people younger than me (I’m old).
Despite numerous speeches supporting Obama and one person speaking up on behalf of Clinton, no one changed their votes after the intial vote. This made it a very different experience than the 2004 caucus where everyone was on a Kerry, Dean, Kucinich merry-go-round.
It was the usual mass chaos with tinges of order. The site coordinator, Tom Tripp, did an excellent job. Thanks to everyone for showing up and participating.
Now can we please put forward a resolution to abolish the caucus system and just have a straight mail in ballot? And while we are at it , can we abolish the delegate system nationwide and just have a nationwide primary ballot? And while we are at it, can we abolish the electoral college and just use the popular vote? And while we are at it can we make paperless voting illegal and use instant run-off voting? And while we are at it, can we prevent partisan elected officials from being the persons in charge of running our elections? And while we are at it, …
