Lets see if we can get some of our local kids into this program rather that gangs. One caution for Senator Murray. She shouldn't be giving non-competitive benefits to businesses as earmarks. (State Ferry system WiFi fiasco.) She shouldn't be telling us she is proud to do so when confronted either. Great for Senator Murray. As an educator I know very well the value of such experiences. I'm glad for your role in making this happen. HOWEVER, what this points out to me is how pathetic Murray's role is and how we have all failed our children. There 1000s of times as many students in this state that need such a program including those that are non-college bound and those that are college-bound. The funds are readily available to stop failing our students. They are being spent in Iraq and Murray, as member of the Senate leadership owns that war. Forgive me, but your comment enrages me at how my generation has failed its children. Murray is certainly complicit. Sounds like a GREAT program.
