Merry, happy, joyful everything to you, Rich.

A funny story about Legos: my nephew's grandparents gave him every giant lego set imaginable - the Millenium Falcon, the Death Star, everything. A. is 9 years older than L., so for years I had asked my sister-in-law to pass them on to L. (a Lego fanatic) when A. grew out of them.

Two years ago, when they were getting ready to move from PDX to San Fran, I asked my SIL what she was going to do with the Legos.

"Oh, I gave them to St. Vincent de Paul."

I asked why she didn't save them for L.

"Oh, he wouldn't have wanted them - they were all in pieces."

I laughed so hard I almost cried.
