Wish they had left him behind where he belonged.

Has Mencken's prophecy come true or do we still have a "most devious and mediocre" one still to come?

All the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily (and) adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron. HL Menken

What a great, creative idea for a lawsuit!

I worked for a firm that was owned by two Harvard MBA graduates during the 80's and that cured some illusions I had about the Harvard MBA program long before our trust fund baby was not elected to be our fearful leader.

It seemed to me at the time the degree was little more than an entry ticket to permit you to hobnob with others who were similarly born into the right family lineage. Both individuals I worked for were seriously lacking in business and common sense. But they knew all the "best" people in town and the best places to be seen having lunch.

To those who did earn the degree through hard work and deserve the recognition the degree confers (and I am sure there are many who did and do), it must be quite disconcerting to be lumped together with our disgraceful leader.
