trying to make a silk purse out of a horse’s ass

tancredo

It’ll take more than an expensive haircut to make the border nazi attractive to voters:

Republican presidential candidate Tom Tancredo is getting his hair clipped for a cause while poking fun at a Democratic rival’s high-dollar haircuts.

Tancredo, a Colorado congressman, will pay $400 for a haircut on Friday - a play on former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards’ $400 cuts, which appeared on campaign spending reports in April.

Tancredo’s $400 fee will be donated to the Autism Society of America, said David Holden, owner of the Hair Biz Salon in Concord, N.H., where the candidate’s coif will get trimmed.

I am so fucking sick of hearing about Edwards’ haircut. When Romney is spending $85,000 a day on ads, and Judith Regan is ripping the lid off the rotting leftovers of the Giuliani-Kerik Brotherhood of Serial Adultery, returning attention to a 7-month old snipe story is all Tancredo’s got?

I believe this quote applies:

Where you see a person of valid achievements or virtue being attacked, it’s by someone viewing them as a mirror of their own inadequacy instead of an inspiring beacon for excellence.

I believe this is also the reason that the one candidate who regularly beats every one of the Republican candidates in polled head-to-head matchups is John Edwards.

Get all the $400 haircuts you want, Tom. It won’t help. Disparage him how you will, Edwards is the one the GOP should be afraid of.

  1. And I remember how Edwards verbally fried Cheney in the 2004 debate. Cheney kept refusing to answer questions when he was pinned down. I don’t know of anyone that has been able to stand up to Cheney like he did, at least publicly.

There is no doubt Edwards knows how to handle himself. And it appears he wants to really change things in Washington.

But many voters only see things through the distorted lens of the media whores these days. And most voters, unfortunately, are easily misled by these people. So it is looking more and more like the lamestream media is going to pick our next President again.
