Some people don’t know this, so it might be worth sharing…
If you want to watch a rather longish video on Google Video, YouTube (some people manage to squeak in a half-hour or longer video, despite YouTube’s limit of 10 minutes, believe it or not.) etc., the trick is to let it load up for a few minutes before playing it. Almost all popular web-based players have a download status bar in the timeline and playhead section. Don’t start playing your movie until you have a large chunk of downloaded progress showing, otherwise your movie will stammer, stall and flash as you are watching it.
If you are trying to watch movies longer than five minutes with dial-up, don’t.
It will simply infuriate you to no end.
I am only sharing this with you after coaching a coworker who was about ready to throw her monitor out the window while attempting to view a video webinar (god I hate that word).
That is all.
