KXLY: One hundred thousand dollars?

I need everyone to please watch this video from tonight’s KXLY 5 o’clock report (you might need to click the “play” button twice):

About 40% of the way through, there’s the following (my transcription):

“Investigators claim Cody Castagna then blackmailed Curtis threatening to go public with their tryst, unless the representative handed over a hundred thousand dollars”

If you could, please confirm whether or not I’m hearing the “hundred thousand dollars” correctly and post a comment. A quick call to KXLY confirmed that the real amount is $1,000.

And people wonder why traditional media is losing trust.

    This isn’t the TM, this is Spokane. What do you want, it appears to be a step above a high school video club. What do you expect quality like the local (PDX) Fox affiliate?
