A big fuck you to the tobacco lobby and the smokers who didn't want to pay another 60 cents a pack to fund healthcare for working-poor children, even if you didn't know about it. I smoked for fifteen years and was always unconsciously grateful when the price went up. It was instrumental in me cutting back to the point of finally quitting.
An especially emphatic fuck you to the big, fat slob I saw driving down Padden Expressway, smoking inside a car full of toddlers. As much as I wanted to free them and make them orphans with my tire iron, I still have my own kids to raise.
