Some of you vegans out there know Frances Moore Lappe’ because of a book called Diet for a Small Planet that was originally written in 1971 and revised in the early 80’s.
Ms. Lappe’ has just written and published her 16th book called Getting a Grip: Clarity, Creativity, and Courage in a World Gone Mad. In it she explores how “clean election” systems can restore sanity to our political system. This video is about Deb Simpson, a single mother and waitress in Maine, who ran under the “clean election” system and was elected to the legislature.
