Fellow DL’ers–
The Vancouver Drinking Liberally group had its one year anniversary last month! We made it a year, tripled the number of you on the mailing list (from 21 to 62!), and we’re on our third meeting place. We had a great meeting last time at the Salmon Creek Brew Pub, and with the 2008 election nearing, we’ll only have more to discuss in the future. Please join us this Tuesday, October 9, at 7PM at the Salmon Creek Brew Pub.
What’s happened in the past month? Hmmmm…Bush vetoed the children’s health insurance bill (I guess kids can’t vote?). Senator Craig resigned. No, he didn’t. Yes, he did. No, he didn’t. It was made clear that the U.S. did NOT torture; it must be true since Dana Perino said it. Repeatedly. And, if someone could explain to me why Hillary is so far in front in the polls when I don’t know a single person who is pro-Hillary, I’d really appreciate it.
See you Tuesday evening,
Kathy, Matt, Alice, Regina
(Look for the Drinking Liberally signs and Regina holding down the fort…)
