Pat Campbell climbed to the top of Mt St Helens yesterday (Thursday) despite iffy weather.  Pat, you have my admiration.

  1. This was a very difficult climb for me but I learned a lot about teamwork and encouragement. I don’t think I would have made it without running into some very nice folks from SW Portland: Mitch, Melanie, Brian, Dick, and three of their adult and teen children. We shared the most difficult parts of the climb, the views from the top, and the descent together. Melanie was Ms. ENTHUSIASM! She was absolutely elated to be making this climb. Two years ago she was hit by a motorhome on Highway 6 nears Banks, Or. and made a difficult yet miraculous recovery.
