  1. Dear John Lennon, I played this just now when I was agitated over the stupid blunders Kaiser Permanente has had in their computer systems and billings. As I was talking (yelling, almost) at them, this song was on and I have clamed down hearing the remainder of it. Dear John Lennon, Imagine Peace.

  2. yea, I know someone who has Kaiser insurance that had an unpaid radiology bill from two years before her coverage became effective. Kaiser paid the bill two years after her Kaiser coverage became effective and four years after the original charge was incurred.

Isn’t it ironic that with all of today’s enormous technological advances, the medical billing system in this country is mired in unbelievable chaos?

But on the other hand, Kaiser Permanente seems to do a good job of “doctoring”.

  3. Recently I had an incredible, horrible experience trying to straighten out my mother’s coverage. PEBB (Public Employee’s Benefit Board) sent a letter stating mother’s medical at Kaiser would be cut May 17th, unless she got out of Part D. They demanded a letter showing it had been corrected. Enormous time was spent on hold & reaching Medicare, but they said she was not in Part D. I made many, many calls to Kaiser and finally talked to some authority in Ft. Worth, Texas, who found THEIR error while we talked. They would correct it, but a letter could not be generated by the due date! Mother is 93. She cannot be cut off. THE Health Care Authority was mean and demanding. Kaiser admitted a “system generated error,” and finally it is resolved with PEBB, or so they say. They will send her a letter stating such. Dealing with the 3 bureacracies was a horrible nightmare.

Now, I’m saying people need to save their CASH receipts for one year! Yikes!

Kaiser Permanente does have good doctoring, but one still must be persistant and responsible for their own health.
