This is evidence?

Iranian Munitions Evidence

We’re supposed to believe that a so-called Iranian manufactured rocket propelled grenade would have a United States date format silk screened onto the munition? As any good computer geek knows, the rest of the world uses DD/MM/YY date formats.

After “evidence” like this provided by our government before (see Gulf of Tonkin, Colin Powell’s UN presentation), color me skeptical. But watch our media whip the country into a frenzy pushing for the bombing of Iran, since there’s no ground troops left. What we’re seeing in slow motion here is a repeat of Nixon’s widening of the Vietnam war into Cambodia and Laos, to have “peace with honor”.

Meanwhile, in the real world, more American troops and Iraqi civilians continue to die for a war based on a neo-con wet dream. You know the one, with soldiers greeted with flowers, and democracy springing forth from Babylonian gardens.

The clock has run out, there is no overtime period here, no Michael Jordan last second shot. When former National Security Agency directors are saying that it’s time to go, it’s time to go.

The question is, will the Democratic majorities in Congress provide the necessary leadership to push for withdrawal? Again, color me skeptical:

Yet the Democratic-controlled Congress is clearly not going to attempt to exercise its power to compel the end of this war — at least not any time soon. And, with some exceptions, there seems to be very few objections over that failure, very little clamoring that they do more. Why is that? What accounts for the seeming willingness — even among more vocal war opponents and bloggers — to give Democrats a pass on actually ending the war (as opposed to enacting symbolic, inconsequential resolutions)?

We’re at the point when non-binding resolutions will not do. When VPOTUS claims that he’s not subject to the same checks as the Executive branch, since he claims that he’s the Fourth Branch of government, nothing less than impeachment will do.

  1. More from the war-build-up skeptics file:
Arms torn off Belgian babies = WWI
Kuwaiti Babies thrown out of incubators = Gulf War I

These guys are crazier than we thought if they think they can go to war with Iran. Iran is the heart of modern, Islamic nationalism. They also have the Sunburn cruise missile system. I sometimes wonder of we’re trying to goad them into a Tonkin type situation in order to get the party started.
This article is making the rounds (on both sides of the debate), but it’s food for thought:

  2. So, color me black:

You don’t like war but want to use force to end it. Let’s assume your are the last man out [highly unlikely] can you get out alive? Katrina, tornadoes, floods, ice during Global Warming -it’s all conspiritorial and all the work of that dummy - Bush. Bad hair day - Bush.

It’s rather convenient that the libs have a punching bag - anything wrong - Bush did it.
Rather like that endearing character of the 60s
, Alfred E. Newman - what me worry? Isn’t it great to live in a screwed up society that relinquishes all reponsibility where Hillary can say: the Devil made me do it? It shows the trully sick society we have become. When the Nazi high command was questioned at Nuremberg - they all, like puppets said Nicht schuldig - not guilty. Oh, I see said the prosecutor - it was all Adolph’s fault? So why did you allow the government to institute the Aryan purity laws? Why did you vote to go to war? Oh, I see - you were given bogus intelligence?

If you are all so stupid -how come you have the modicum of intelligence to write all kinds of drivel against the war. Somehow your fingers and minds are not paralyzed or did Bush make you criticize Bush???

    Get a life!

    huh?

Unless history has been revised, Bush did start the war and did provide bogus intelligence.
Why did you vote to go to war?
I and many others here have been protesting the Iraq conflict since before it started. It is not clear who you are referring to but this statement should most likely be directed to the failed leadership on both sides of the aisle in Washington D.C. and not here.

Who said we are stupid? Seems to me YOUR post is the one full of drivel.
