Hello! My name is Laura Ellsworth, and I am the Public Affairs Coordinator for Planned Parenthood in Clark County. January 22nd, 2007 is the 34th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade and the 6th Anniversary of Bush reinstating the Global Gag Rule on Family Planning.

Planned Parenthood of the Columbia Willamette is sponsoring a Film Night at the First Congregational United Church of Christ. It is a great opportunity to gather progressive folks in Clark County. As you know, reproductive justice is constantly under attack. In fact, a critical Supreme Court ruling is coming up in a couple short months, and it is as important than ever to continue fighting for reproductive and social justice.

The Last Abortion Clinic —A PBS Frontline Special originally aired in November 2005
Access Denied—A short documentary spotlighting the anti-family planning nature of the global gag rule and its effects in Namibia, one of Africa’s poorest countries
