THE WORLD CAN’T WAIT–Demonstrations Nationwide October 5

Last week’s suspension of the Geneva Conventions and the Bill of Rights makes it more important than ever that we make our voices heard on this day of nationwide resistance. There is a rally with guest speakers in Portland starting at noon while some Great Patriots in Olympia will stage an overnight event including speakers, music, and even Tyvek Twister! I am taking a long lunch on Thursday to attend the Portland event and know of at least one person who is driving to the Olympia event if someone wants to go but needs transportation. Please join me in putting Bush and the Rubberstamp Republican led Congress that we will not stand for War Crimes in our name nor will we stand passively while our civil liberties are steadily revoked.

Hear the police peppered sprayed people, beat people and shot rubber bullets at people at this event. ;( Anyone out there want to comment on what happened?

I did not stay on the march long enough to see why civility broke down between demonstrators and police. Sorry.
