Senate Republicans Cut and Run from Rummy No Confidence Vote (Or… From Neo-Con to No-Con)

Senate Republicans rebuffed a call today from their colleagues across the aisle for a no confidence vote against Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for his bungling–by a reasonable person’s standards; it could be argued that progress to date has served its planners very well–of the military invasion and occupation of Iraq. Wait a moment…aren’t Senate GOP’ers the “up or down vote” people? And aren’t the Dems supposed to be the party of Cut and Run? Why would Republicans be the least reluctant to go on record in support of their Defense Secretary? With the midterms less than nine weeks away? Hmmm…

  1. There is no shortage of hypocrisy in our Congressional leadership these days. Their 20% approval rating among the voters says it all.

Pretty please call the KPOJ-Hartmann show in the morning and announce the sign waving event @ 4:30 PM in front of the Ft Vancouver library Thursday in support of the Declaration of Peace.
