Join us at the Sixth Street Gallery from 7-10pm on Friday, September 8 as poets from Washington and Oregon celebrate the 50th anniversary of Howl with a reading of the poem. Readers will include: Nita Countryman, Eileen Elliott, James Honzik, Roberta Kowald, G.L. Morrison, Ken Palmer, Dan Raphael, Bill Shively, Corrie Smith, Asariel Tidewalker, and your host, Christopher Luna. Luna will begin the evening with a short talk outlining the history of the poem and making brief mention of some of its sources of origin.
